How you can use the

Law of Attraction to

write your novel

I love to write.

It’s been my strongest creative talent for years. I grew up writing short stories, poems, journal entries and some bizarre supernatural fantasy passages that seemed to come out of the very depths of my soul.

But when I was finally hit with an idea for a longer story, a novel, that was a whole other world.

By then I was a first-time mother of a toddler. For several months I took care of him all day and then stayed up at night to write. It seemed easy at first. I was brimming with ideas and I wrote the first few chapters like mad. And then it became confusing and difficult and I was completely lost.

I worked on it on and off, but I didn’t come back to that book with any real determination for several years.

And then I started to feel the book calling me again.

You know that feeling where it's like you're drifting somewhere between reality and fantasy, between trying to figure out what to make for dinner but also unable to tear yourself away from this story that's suddenly magical again? It was like that. Ideas were flowing, story problems were solving themselves, character backstories were becoming clearer.  So I started working on it again.

Something was different now though. I had been learning about and experimenting with the Law of Attraction and I thought, wouldn’t it be great if this could help me finish my book?

It was around this time that I was using Trello to manage my client work and also to manage new ideas and projects. And once I started thinking about the Law of Attraction and my novel, I thought it would be helpful to make a Trello board for my book.

I started by doing a simple brain dump of the plot, characters, setting and relationships. Then, I began adding more and more intricacies about the story. And then I began adding PICTURES! That’s when it really started to take shape as a vision board. It was an amazing feeling to open up the board and just spend a few minutes looking at the pictures and immersing myself in the details. It was a whole mood. And like magic, I was able to write another thousand words as if it was the easiest thing to do almost every single time.

I began adding other helpful rituals and tools like affirmations, tapping, role playing...whatever I could use to help me feel the energy of the story, feel confident, easily work out specific scenes or develop characters...and it was working!

Within about six months, I had finished the first draft.

And that first draft...it’s an enormous accomplishment, especially if it’s your first novel.

It felt incredible.

I was a writer. I was an author.

And I had used the Law of Attraction to help me attract my book!

AND YOU CAN, TOO.

If you want to use the Law of Attraction to help you finish writing your first novel, I highly recommend starting with a vision board.

If you want to use the vision board I created and get access to others tools and rituals, you can get the Attract Your Book toolkit here.
